Some questions are often asked, I will be adding questions along the way, please do not hesitate to send me an email asking me your questions.
Who are you?
You can still find my entire CV on Linkedin but I thought the following would be more interesting.
Current location and travel: I am currently in Malmo (Sweden).
Hobbies and passions:
I love pushing myself physically and mentally.
Trying new sports, any kind of sport. I am more into personal best than being the first. That is how I decided to start triathlon last year. I am proud to say I am a finisher of an Olympic triathlon. During my world tour, I am keeping up with sports training myself with freeletics.
I love learning new things and getting inspired that is why I love watching Ted Talks (see below my favourites one) I am currently following the “Build Websites from Scratch » course on CodeAcademy.
My life philosophy quote
Here are the last books I read and liked because they got me thinking:
- Ken Robinson: Creative Schools, Finding your element, The Element, Out of our Minds
- Tony Wagner: Creating innovators, the making of young people who will change the world
- Maria Montessori: L’enfant
- Dr Laurent Alexandre, La guerre des intelligences
Favourite and inspiring Ted Talks:
Here are some talks that really inspired me.
- Do schools kill creativity? Ken Robinson
- Gaming can make a better world, Jane McGonigal
- Every kid needs a champion, Rita Pierson
- The power of believing that you can improve, Carol Dweck
- How great leaders inspire action, Simon Sinek
- Why we do what we do, Tony Robbins
- Why you should define your fears instead of your goals, Tim Ferriss
- The puzzles of motivation, Dan Pink
What is your world tour about? What are “21st-century skills”?
You can find further information about this, in another post I wrote.
Who is paying for your world tour?
I worked hard and saved money to achieve my dream, and some private sponsors are helping me.
What are your values?
- be passionate
Passion is always what pushed me to go forward, dare to surpass myself, take initiatives, try, fail, get up and try again.
- be authentic
Authenticity for me means sharing my experiences, my trials, my attempts, my successes but also my failures, my doubts, my fears.
- be creative, positive and confident
Being creative for me is about thinking problems as opportunities and find a way to fix them, as if it was a game. This way, no matter what happens I remain positive and confident.
- dream, dare, act
I have always tried to be brave enough to make my dreams come true.
- inspire & empower
I think everyone needs to be inspired. When you ask someone “how did you choose your career”? chances are it is because, one day, they met someone who inspired them! Once you have been inspired, I believe you need to be empowered to take actions.
- test, fail, learn, unlearn, relearn
The only way for me to know if I’m on the right track is still to test. Sometimes I succeed, often I learn (to do differently).
Is it your first experience abroad?
Nope, and that is why I decided to do a world tour! I have lived in Argentina when I was 17 (on a student exchange program for a year). I went to Australia, age 23, to do 2 internships, and I graduated from Warwick University (in the UK).
Aren’t you scared to travel the world on your own?
I don’t feel I am travelling on my own…
What are you going to do with all your learnings?
For now, the only thing I know is that I want to learn, get inspired, and share it with the world. I am not sure yet what will be the outcome of my world tour, the only question I will then ask myself is “where will I have the biggest impact” and that will guide me.
What countries are you visiting?
Where can we follow your adventure?
Here are some ways.
What is your logo about?
My logo represents a compass, it is related to travel and especially to navigation. We can see in a compass a tool for orientation representing our journey in life, through learning, and also the immensity of possibilities.
What does “What if spirit” mean?
“What If” we could make things better? “What If” we tried a new approach? What would the world look like if we could become more innovative to solve more different kind of problems?
What is your tagline about?
Our tagline is “inspiring and empowering tomorrow’s change makers.” Why is so?
“Students who are best prepared for the future are change agents. They can have a positive impact on their surroundings, influence the future, understand others’ intentions, actions and feelings, and anticipate the short and long-term consequences of what they do” (The future of education and skills Education 2030, OECD)
How can I help you?
Thanks for asking. You can help me in a lot of different ways. Follow me on social networks, share my posts if you like them, express yourself when you disagree (I know I don’t know it all, and I am always happy to receive feedback), you can also help me by letting me know who I should meet in the countries I am going…
Why do you think you can change the world?
The least I can do is to try, what about you?
